SPACE FOR CONTEMPORARY DANCE, PHYSICAL THEATER AND CIRCUS
The Dance and Theater School Burgdorf provides a space for creative exchange, movement, joy of acting and joint projects. It’s not only a place for creativity, passion and aesthetics, but also a safe haven for reaching personal goals, reflecting, blowing off steam and breaking boundaries. Moreover, the school functions as a melting pot, bringing people together of different origins to dance, act, create and train in unison.
Based on the concept of Accademia Teatro Dimitri in Verscio, the Dance and Theater School combines dance, theater and circus and provides access to performing arts for kids, youth and adults by offering regular classes and workshops. The Dance and Theater School Burgdorf extends the scope of cultural and health-based services in the city of Burgdorf and its surroundings. Joint dancing, acting and training foster a positive body and self-awareness hence ensuring health-promoting measures.
The Dance and Theater School Burgdorf provides a rehearsal space on affordable terms and promotes creative processes and productions in all aspects of performing arts. Young artists as well as “old stagers” are encouraged to pursue their passion, free of financial worries and disturbances. The in-house mini-theater can even host small performances and make art productions available to the public.
The Dance and Theater School Burgdorf provides a space for the publicand organizes regular Palco Aperto (open stage) events, which means that artists can try out their acts and projects in front of a live audience for 5-10 minutes. In addition, the space aspires to be a networking platform for the entire artistic field of Burgdorf and its surroundings. This way, ideas can be exchanged and projects and fusions of any kind can be established such as round tables discussing various aspects of performing art for example. News

Between August 20-24, 2018, the Dance and Theater School Burgdorf opens its doors to the public. Come by and join us for a free trial lesson. For a whole week, everybody is welcome to dance and act free of charge. Registration desirable.
